Short Bread Cookies

Quite often my beau hunk and I will get the urge to bake something, usually we try and use things that are already in the house, not only because it's cheap but neither of us drive and this limits us a fair bit. Last week we found a recipe for easy and quick short bread cookies.

This is the recipe we used:

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons of margarine

  • 6 tablespoons of icing sugar
  • 1 beaten egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of sifted all purpose flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 180 degrees

  • Thoroughly cream butter and sugar
  • Add egg and vanilla, beat well

  • Add flour and mix well

  • Teaspoon the mixture onto a greased baking tray
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes

Plate and enjoy, best eaten with tea or coffee and perfect for a rainy afternoon :)
